REEFSPACE UPDATES

A few changes...

Well, after a couple of years and nearly 700 members, some changes are taking place here on ReefSpace. Unfortunately, Ning, the company who provides the software and hosting for this network, has forced us to pay $19.95 per month to keep ReefSpace operating. A couple of changes that come with this:

  • First of all, I have added a Paypal Donation tab and tool to the network. You can access it from the tabs at the top of this page. If you have used and enjoy ReefSpace, please consider helping to keep us running as it is now a financial cost to me.

  • Second, you'll notice the Google ads are no longer on the site. That used to be how Ning made their money, but since they're charging me, there are no ads. I will likely begin seeking a sponsor/sponsors for the site to help fund the operations or will try my own Google Ads account to see if it will contribute. If you're interested in sponsoring, please contact me!

We'll just have to see where all this goes. Hopefully I can find a way between running ads and taking donations to keep ReefSpace running and growing.

Thanks!

The Noble Savage

11 April 2010

Well, I spent the past few days rearranging my nano tank and gluing my frags down along with using epoxy to glue the live rock in place. I decided to try out a new salt, Tropic Marin. I have been using OceanPure Pro for the past few years but I heard a lot of good things about the Tropic Marin from my LFS. So it is too early to say if it is a better salt or not but my 2 Montipora Capricornus and Acros seems to like it along with my Zoas.I also decided to swap out my AquaVia Phosphate reactor pum… Continue

My new web site

I finally got my web site up. It is not much but it is mine. Here is a link to my 240G build log. I plan on adding a lot more DIY projects geared to Aquariums.

The coolest thing happened a few nights ago. My cleaner shrimp had babies. It shot out hundreds of tiny shrimp out all at once. It looked like a swarm of misquetos. I cought what I could and put in my refugium. We will see if any survive. I hope so. Continue

Colon Cleanse

Colon Cleanse methodology has really helped me a lot in maintaining a good health and a nice physique. advice others to use the same technique. I had acquired a lot of fat by consuming junk foods, but after I came to know about
this natural technique I practiced and really got a nice physique. The most
advantageous part is that it’s a natural technique and do

a surprising success

I was surprised this morning to find that the last large Aiptasia anemone in my 5.5g aquarium was gone. Apparently the two peppermint shrimps were really hungry last night. I'll have to monitor this tank, but it looks like they did the job I bought them for.
