So I was perusing around my LFS the other day and happened across a new friend. A green clown goby, who is colored so nicely, he looks rather blue instead of the typical green. I must admit though, haven't had a chance to capture any photos of the little guy because he's so shy at this point.

Within the first 24 hours of being in the tank, I thought he was a goner, couldn't find him anyplace. Looked in the chambers in the back of the tank, down in the skimmer, nothin'. Then lo and behold to my surprise, under a rock with many red mushrooms, I see this blue speck! WOOHOO! Found him. 48 hours later, it was the same thing, I was sure I had bad luck and he was sickly and just didn't make it in the tank, maybe the few crabs I had found him and gobbled him up ... however, late in the evening, there he turned up again in a small cave built from the stacked live rock! YAY for me again!

The new fishy seems to have found a stable place to hang out for now, although I'm hoping he will decide to come out and let us all see his beautiful color, but I'll give him the time that he needs. Thank goodness he seems to like his new hiding place, because honestly, I can't take much more of not being able to find him ... like pulling teeth with no numbing agents ... PAINFUL!!!

I agree its teeth pulling painful if you don't know how they are. I worried about our new Mandarin until I chased her out of the rocks with a flashlight beam. Then she hid off and on until she got comfortable.
