Alright, I went on vacation and forgot to mention this.
When I returned from vacation there was something new in my tank.
Smack dab in the middle of the sand in front. Waving it's little tentacles at me in defiance.
An Aiptasia Anemone! I've had my live rock for over 6 months with no sign of these invaders anywhere. I guess I grew him from seed. Which is why I couldn't kill it. I'm it's dad. NO! I didn't leave it in that tank. I put it in my mantis tank. And there it lives all by itself. Looks kind of sad right now, but I'm sure he'll make himself some friends.
Also had a maroon polyp that grew from seed. That was pretty cool to see. Wish I still had all the photos. Started as a small pink globe inside a snail shell and started stretching and forming a stalk and then one day the top split open and it formed a polyp mouth. Too cool.
